On the occasion of the centenary of his death, the Grand Palais presents an exhibition of his greatest masterpieces (Le Penseur, Le Baiser, Bourgeois de Calais ...). The journey traces the dreams and glories of this poet of passion, undisputed master and sacred monster. Between scandals and blows of brilliance, it revolutionizes the artistic creation before Braque, Picasso or Matisse, and makes it forever rock in modernity. Finally, the exhibition retraces its extraordinary posterity to generations of artists, from Carpeaux to Richier, including Bourdelle, Claudel, Brancusi and Picasso, thus giving an insight and understanding of the power of his genius.
